ADCSA is an independent, non-profit, membership-based association and a part of the Australia Day National network, responsible for the prestigious Australians of the Year Awards. We acknowledge our past and recognise our inspirational people and communities, placing reconciliation at the centre, embracing and encouraging diversity and inclusion for all Australians.

About the role

Working closely with and reporting to the General Manager of Strategic Partnerships, this role plays an important part in nurturing and growing our highly valued corporate and business partnerships.

This role will lead and implement corporate partnership plans, ensuring development of our valued strategic partnerships by coordinating the engagement, stewardship, account management, and administration of a dynamic portfolio of partners. 

Working collaboratively and creatively with our memberships, merchandising, communications and events teams the Partnerships Manager will contribute to the strategic development of our organisation.

About you

  • 3+ years of experience within a for-purpose, community development or events environment – with current knowledge of the latest developments in corporate partnership, sponsorship, business development, and the principles of brand management and development.
  • Results driven with outstanding relationship and account management skills, demonstrable success in increasing revenue; the coordination of engagement activities, and acquisition of partners.
  • Extensive experience in working collaboratively across a dynamic yet small team; and with all levels of executive and management to maintain positive outcomes and relationships (internally and externally)
  • A strong entrepreneurial spirit, alignment to the ADCSA vision, and ability to influence and inspire people to engage with and support for-purpose causes.
  • High level of interpersonal and relationship skills – including influencing, persuading and motivating; and the confidence and experience in making the ask.
  • Strategic thinking ability, plus proven practical and successful implementation capacity.
  • Articulate, compelling written and verbal communication skills, proposal development; and financial management, forecasting, and reporting skills. 
  • Proven successful project management experience – new systems & processes, and process improvement, and sound time management skills.
  • Strong computer literacy with database systems, and MS Office applications and Monday.com or similar CRM
