The Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence Office is seeking a Director to lead the Domestic and Family Violence Death Review Team. The Office has a whole of government remit to lead an informed, capable and connected response to address domestic, family and sexual violence in the ACT. We are interested in candidates with excellent skills in communication, collaboration and facilitation to support restorative and sensitive engagement with a wide range of stakeholders, including family and friends of victims. 

In this role you can make a difference for the community by developing and implementing an innovative model and methodology for the Domestic and Family Violence Death Review that generates evidence-based recommendations for service and system change. To be successful you will have high levels of empathy, have the ability to lead restorative engagement with stakeholders and families and be able to develop an innovative death review model for the ACT. Your research and analysis skills will support you to lead review of data and records of matters where a domestic or family violence related death or suicide has occurred.

Eligibility/Other Requirements: 

  • Tertiary qualifications and demonstrated experience in a relevant field are highly desired (such as social work, domestic and family violence specialist services, restorative justice, psychology, criminology, human services, government, criminal justice, law etc).
  • Experience in, or sound knowledge of, data bases and data management is also desirable.
