- Brisbane & Gold Coast > Moreton Bay Region
Moreton Bay’s only independent special assistance middle school.
As we prepare to open the doors to The Younity School, we have exciting opportunities for three passionate and skilled secondary classroom teachers to work with our inaugural student intake, starting in Term 3, 2024.
On 8 July 2024, we will welcome 45 students with one class each in Years 7, 8 and 9, supporting these young people and their families to engage or reengage with school, successfully navigate the middle years, and face their future with a sense of confidence, resilience and pride.
This is a unique opportunity to work as a member of our foundation team, helping to shape the school with your passions, talents, and love of learning and play a pivotal role in our very first students' learning
journey.
We believe workplace diversity sparks innovation and creativity. The Younity School is a safe, accessible and inclusive workplace for people of all backgrounds. We encourage people from Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander backgrounds with relevant experience to apply.
As a classroom teacher at The Younity School, you will create supportive and inclusive learning environments for students presenting with a broad range of complex physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development needs.
You will design engaging, creative lessons to improve student outcomes, leveraging innovative teaching techniques and resources to capture students' interest and stimulate their curiosity, and make learning a rewarding experience.
You will tailor lesson plans and teaching strategies to meet the specific needs of each student in your class, considering their strengths and weaknesses, recognising and respecting each student's pace of learning and providing the necessary accommodations and support to help them succeed.
And, above all, you will collaborate with colleagues, contribute to a cohesive team environment, and build meaningful connections with families and community members to foster a supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
Please note—A relevant teaching qualification and full or provisional QCT registration are essential for this role.
