Established in 2006, headspace is a well-recognised, national not-for-profit organisation making a difference to the lives of young people aged 12-25 years. The eheadspace program provides vital online and telephone clinical mental health services to young people and their families as part of a multidisciplinary team from 9am - 1am EST.

About the role

As an eheadspace Senior Clinician, you will be well organised and will provide shift management across eheadspace services including day to day running of the shift, and the provision of senior clinical support to junior clinical staff. You will be able to successfully engage and build rapport with young people via online and telehealth modalities and will provide advanced evidence-based mental health treatments for young people, their families, and friends. You will have a collaborative working and leadership style, seek to grow your skills, and always place young people in the centre of their care journey.

Team 1 roster is:

Week 1:

  • Monday 4pm to 12am
  • Thursday 12pm to 8pm
  • Friday 10am to 6pm
  • Saturday from 12pm to 8pm
  • Sunday from 4pm 12am.

Week 2:

  • Monday 4pm to 12 am
  • Thursday 12pm to 8pm
  • Friday 10 am to 6

Team 2 roster is:

Week 1 :

  • Monday 10am to 6pm
  • Tuesday 10am to 6pm
  • Wednesday 10am to 6pm

Week 2

  • Saturday 12pm to 8pm
  • Sunday 12pm to 8pm

Who we're looking for

eheadspace is looking for Senior Clinicians who are passionate about working with young people, and supporting clinicians to grow and learn - and have:

  • Approved tertiary qualification in an allied health discipline, including social work, psychology, mental health nursing, and occupational therapy; or a Masters in Counselling (minimum Level 4, ACA).
  • Eligibility for membership of an appropriate professional body: Social workers are required by the Australian Government Department of Health to be eligible for full membership with AASW. Psychologists, mental health nurses, and occupational therapists are required to have full registration with AHPRA. Those with a Masters in Counselling need to have eligibility for full professional registration at a minimum of Level 4 within the Australian Counselling Association scope of practice guidelines.
  • Demonstrated clinical skill in best practice mental health assessment.
  • A sound knowledge of the common mental health issues faced by young people eheadspace
  • Experience in providing support and consultation to clinical staff.
