Wesley Catering services various Wesley Mission services, supporting the clients in our care. Through our work with Wesley Retirement Living, Wesley Catering provides wholesome food offerings in a relaxed and caring environment.
Our Alan Walker Village Chef will run a small kitchen, supported by a Kitchenhand, to provide brunch and lunch service for residents of the village. The Chef is responsible for kitchen opening, food preparation, production of meals, serving, and maintaining a clean kitchen. You will be responsible for the supervision and on-site leadership of a kitchenhand, and Café Assistant when needed.
You will set and change menus regularly to cater for the residents of the village, and you will be responsible for ordering supplies required on a daily and weekly basis. Administrative support will be provided for payment of suppliers and reporting to management.
This position covers Monday to Friday lunch services, together with small catering demands from time to time such as morning teas and meeting lunches.
Please note that there is a requirement to work weekday public holidays, unless prior arrangements have been made.
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the Restaurant Industry Award 2010 for a Cook Grade 5 (Chef) at $70,000-80,000 per annum plus applicable allowances and penalties.
