ABOUT THE ROLE

As our company grows, providing clear and concise communication and accurate scheduling information for staff and participants is one of our highest priorities.

The Rostering Administrator reports directly to the Administration Coordinator. The Rostering Administrator is responsible for coordinating and managing scheduling and rostering within our roster management system (MYP).

The Rostering Administrator plays a vital role in ensuring the effective scheduling and coordination of support staff for our participants across individual support shifts and group program shifts. The position is responsible for managing and maintaining staff rosters, allocating shifts, and ensuring adequate coverage to meet participant and program needs.

Key functions include:

  • Develop and maintain staff rosters using MYP, our rostering software, ensuring accurate and up-to-date scheduling of support staff across group program, transport and individual support shifts.
  • Liaise with Lead Facilitators and support staff to ensure timely and accurate data is received to inform scheduling requirements.
  • Liaise with support staff, participants, and their families to ensure clear communication regarding schedules and any changes.
  • Allocate shifts to staff members based on their availability, skills, and participant requirements.
  • Collaborate with the management team including Team Leaders and the Administration Coordinator to identify and address any staffing gaps or issues.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to staff rosters, shift allocations, and any rostering changes.
  • Work with the administration coordinator around any updates, feedback, recommendations or reporting required for rostering activities.

ABOUT YOU

Successful applicants will demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Thorough knowledge of work activities performed within the workplace
  • Sound knowledge of procedural/operational methods of the workplace related to rostering and shift coordination
  • Utilise professional or specialised knowledge related to rostering and administrative tasks
  • Thorough knowledge of the NDIS scheme and the functions of the scheme related to service delivery to assist NDIS participants in achieving their goals
  • Work within appropriate legislative frameworks and organisational policy and procedure including following all mandatory reporting requirements

ADDITIONAL BENEFITS

  • This role is flexible and can be organised as a work from home role once initial training is completed.
  • This role commences at approx. 10-15hrs per week. This is a growth area within GenNow and the applicants will have the opportunity to grow with the role. Please forecast your capacity to grow your hours with role demands over the next 12 months to determine role suitability.
  • This role requires specific training and skill sets associated with the NDIS and the MYP rostering software system. We are looking for applicants who are committed to being a part of the GenNow journey who are keen to broaden their professional knowledge and skill set within a community support organisation.
