Senior Advisor, Strategy and Partnerships - Flexible Location

GetUp Limited

2 days left to apply

GetUp is looking for a brilliant Senior Advisor, Strategy and Partnerships ready to focus on developing and implementing strategic fundraising and partnership initiatives.

Our campaigners have delivered a range of high-engagement and intersectional campaigns. From Press freedom, saving our ABC, delivering a National Anti-Corruption Commission, Protection of whistleblowers, upholding access to enrolment, voting and polling centres and of course taking on Murdoch and his media empire.

We believe that politics belongs to the people and that there are many levers we can use in our campaigns to strengthen our democracy. We're looking for a creative thinker who is ready to take on the rise of the Far-Right and fight back against their influence over our elections, put a check on disinformation and take on the cost of living crisis.

Who is GetUp

GetUp is an independent movement of everyday people.

Together, we practise our independence through passionate political engagement. We judge parties and policies, values and character — not their brand — then act accordingly.

We are active participants, not indifferent observers. We champion climate science over denial, the public good over corporate greed, and robust multiculturalism over callous racism.

We are beholden to no-one but each other and our shared values. Together, we pressure, persuade and work with those in and outside government who can deliver real change on the issues that drive us, without ever giving or receiving money, or direction, from any political party, politician or candidate.

Elections are great change moments. Our movement engages fiercely whenever we have the opportunity and means to build a more fair, flourishing and just Australia for all.

Our power comes not from private interests or political patronage, but from the rolling tide of people working together towards a common cause.

Our Impact Team

GetUp is full of talented campaigners and creatives who work across our four strategic areas: Democracy, First Nations Justice, Climate Justice and building Electoral power.

Our campaigners pride themselves to be able to hold deep strategic thinking as well as the ability to seize crucial change moments that make a massive difference on our issues.

Their days are filled with analysing the political state of play, developing long-term and rapid-fire strategy, engaging with politicians, media and affected communities, spotting the right moment to intervene, running impactful tactics including everything from protests to undercover investigations, writing hard-hitting copy, and coming up with creative ways to give our members the best chance for impact.
