Kevin Heinze Grow (KHG) is a NDIS provider of services delivering unique, flexible and responsive programs. We partner with our participants in the development and design of our services which allows us to provide meaningful learning and development opportunities. We are privileged that our work is enhanced by the broad lived and living experience of our participants, staff and volunteers.

The Kevin Heinze Grow model is founded on principles of therapeutic horticulture, with over four decades of experience. Our model uses the peaceful stress-free environment of a garden setting to support people of all abilities, where the therapeutic value of the garden environment is highly regarded. Our experienced and multidisciplinary team, work with our participants to help them reach their goals.

the role

We are seeking an empathetic, strategic leader to inspire and guide our Client Services and Support Work teams. Leading and managing the delivery of services, key areas of responsibility will involve:

  • Overseeing staff management including recruitment, rostering, performance, incident response and supporting ongoing learning and development
  • Managing all key aspects of client services including intake, assessment, service agreements and invoicing
  • Developing and maintaining key external partnerships
  • Acting as the key senior point of contact to participants, participants’ families and support networks

Being an integral member of the Leadership Team, you will have the opportunity to play a key role in the creation and delivery of the organisational business plan, with a strong focus on quality services, industry leadership, strong community presence, a confident and capable team and organisational sustainability.

ABOUT you

Your strengths are thriving in a collaborative team with a person-centred approach and strategic focus. You will bring extensive experience in disability, education or community services where you have been an integral part of successfully providing person-centred supports to a group of participants.

You will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Education, Social Work, Community Services/Welfare or other relevant field.
  • Strong professional experience disability or other relevant social service sector, including management of multidisciplinary teams.
  • A collaborative approach encompassing administration, operational management and strategic planning.
  • A strong participant centred focus.
  • A commitment to maintaining high service and operational standards.
  • Experience in effective stakeholder relationship management
  • Extensive program management expertise, including budgeting and reporting, preferably within the context of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to plan, prioritise, and provide clear direction to multiple staff of varying levels of skill and experience.

Some understanding of working with LGA’s would be highly desirable.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Exceptional in-depth understanding of the NDIS framework
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a leadership role carrying out key Client Services duties
  • Extensive staff management experience in a social service context
  • Capacity to build effective working internal and external relationships
  • Highly developed attention to detail, time-management and organisational skills
  • Possess a valid Working with Children, NDIS Worker Screening check, and up to date COVID-19 Vaccinations.

RECRUITMENT PROCESS

Our recruitment process will include the following steps:

  • Shortlisting of candidates as received
  • Initial brief conversation over the phone with shortlisted candidates
  • Face to face interview with KHG interview panel
  • Reference checks with at least 2 previous employers including reporting Manager
  • Desired commencement date - early August 2024
