  • Based in Moree; Outreach role & involves regular travel within LGA. 
  • Part-time: 3 x days per week 08:30 am to 4:30 pm (flexible on which days).

  • SCHCADS Award Level 4, hourly rates range from $41.52 to $44.68 + NFP Salary Packaging Benefits.

THE ROLE

As a Case Worker - AOD Outreach Program, you will play a pivotal role in developing holistic treatment plans targeted to individual needs of clients who are experiencing substance abuse or dependence. In this dynamic & rewarding role you will deliver vital Outreach AOD support services to smaller rural communities. You will be joining a supportive and inclusive team where you can contribute meaningfully to the community and make a real difference to people's lives.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Conduct assessments and develop evidence-based treatment plans and therapeutic interventions for individual clients.
  • Work in partnership with broader health services e.g. mental health services and other primary health clinicians, Aboriginal medical services.
  • Maintain accurate client records, case notes and other data as required.
  • Provide ad hoc support as needed, e.g. psychosocial support, conflict resolution etc.
  • Engage in case review processes with the team, and individually with the Team Leader.

YOU WILL NEED

  • Relevant qualification/s, e.g. Certificate IV or Diploma in Alcohol and Other Drugs or Community Services field, or extensive experience in the AOD/Community services field.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a case load and case planning, including with persons with complex needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work therapeutically with clients (e.g. provide therapeutic interventions).
  • Knowledge of, and an ability to access, a range of relevant community resources.
  • Drivers Licence & willingness to travel around the local LGA min 3 days per week.
