Our NENA (No Ego & No A**hole) Leadership Framework means you'll experience our leaders as genuine, humble & grounded. You won’t catch our leaders sitting behind their desks. Supporting participants themselves keeps our leadership team connected to the grassroots and across emerging frontline service delivery trends.

We 're not planning to take over the world and so we are growing sustainably (currently a team of 30 – 40). And because we’re not fixated on money, we spend our time ensuring we are offering quality support that meets the needs of those who have chosen to place their trust in us. Oh, and we also invest our profits into a free member-led mental health service on the Gold Coast that creates opportunities for connection, participation, belonging and fun!

We love difference and actively employ people with a lived experience. In fact, about 50% of our team have lived experience. Our casual roles are also great for people currently studying a relevant diploma or degree.

Employment

• Mental Health Mentors
  • No qualifications or experience necessary because we'll assist the right applicants to get a foot in the door while they complete their diploma or degree with our on-the-job leadership and coaching.
• Support Workers
  • Minimum relevant Certificate III ideally with disability and/or mental health experience.
• Recovery Coaches
  • Experienced mental health support workers with a minimum Certificate IV Mental Health or relevant Diploma/ Degree.

Essential Requirements:

• Have the right to work in Australia
• Minimum Certificate III in relevant qualification
• Hold a valid Australian Driver License
• NDIS Worker Clearance / Blue Card / Police Check
• Have a roadworthy and insured vehicle and a smart phone.
• Be non-judgmental, curious, helpful, and reflective in your practice.
• Have an ablity to exercise reasonable judgement and be open to feedback & ongoing development.
• Understand professional practice framework and have a strong understanding of professional boundaries.
