Role Purpose 

Are you a tenancy management expert looking for a pivotal role? Uniting NSW.ACT is seeking a dedicated Housing Manager to join our team. Your role will involve managing a diverse portfolio of rental villages and overseeing the smooth operation of allocated villages. 

Key Responsibilities  

• Manage tenant queries, complaints, and appeals for effective resolution.
• Represent Uniting in NCAT cases with support. 
• Conduct property inspections. 
• Refer tenants to relevant support providers. 
• Manage budgets, rental income, and arrears. 
• Maintain tenant records accurately. 
• Collaborate with the Seniors Directorate for compliance.
• Coordinate unit inspections and maintenance. 
• Build relationships with Real Estate Agents. 
• Support tenants with complex needs. 
• Ensure full occupancy and oversee refurbishments. 
• Collaborate with the SAHF (Safe and affordable housing) team. 
• Arrange viewings and tenant sign-ups. 

Qualifications and Experience 

• 2+ years of housing or property sector experience.
• A focus on providing outstanding and consistent customer service.
• Direct housing or property sector experience focusing on residential tenancies (ideally in Retirement Living or Social and Affordable Housing) with extensive experience in dealing with tenants.
• Strong understanding of property asset management 
• Commercially minded with a thirst for driving improvement 
• Flexibility and adaptability are a must, you will be required to work well under pressure with multiple competing deadlines and changing challenges. 
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong organisation and attention to detail. 
• Ability to work well under pressure. 
• You’ll need a provisional or full Australian driving license and ongoing access to a reliable vehicle as the role will be covering villages across Granville, Ryde, Eastwood, Carlingford, Parramatta, Blacktown, West Pymble, Hornsby, Penrith, Kenthurst, Springwood and Katoomba 
• Proven experience supporting Retirement Living services is a plus!
