This is a part-time permanent position, 10 hours per week – Tuesday & Friday with potential for extra hours. Located in Wyong NSW.

About the opportunity

Uniting is seeking a passionate Supported Playgroup Facilitator to join our Early Intervention team. In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating playgroups in the Wyong Shire, supporting parents, and delivering early childhood activities to aid in children's transition to school.

• Facilitate Supported Playgroups, including activity setup and packing.
• Plan and implement culturally appropriate activities for children.
• Develop and maintain relationships with other services to enhance family well-being.
• Process referrals and conduct group inductions for new participants.
• Provide parenting information, support, and advocacy.
• Model effective parenting strategies and behaviour management techniques.
• Contribute to reports and evaluations as required.

Your Qualifications & Experience

• Early childhood qualification or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in the early childhood sector.
• Experience facilitating and planning playgroups.
• Passion for social change and supporting disadvantaged communities.
• Experience working with parents to identify children's needs and training in evidence-based parenting groups are desirable.
