The Opportunity

Our Outside School Hours Care Service Leaders are part of the Tasmania Leadership Team and responsible for driving their service’s growth of quality, sustainability, and service delivery. You will facilitate a program consistent with the National Quality Standards and reflects the National Quality Framework, taking our OSHC programs to the next level.

You will also act as the Nominated Supervisor for the OSHC and be responsible for supporting our Educators in planning and implementing the services educational program to produce quality play-based educational and leisure programs.

The role is for a 32 hour Contract at our Mount Stuart service in Hobart.

Must be available for a range of shifts, including split shifts, ranging from 6:45am to 6pm Monday to Friday.How to apply

What’s on offer

At Uniting, we understand the importance of our OSHC Service Leaders and have dedicated non contact time in excess of 6 hours, to complete your management tasks. You will have access to our dedicated OSHC Director and Educational Leader who will support you to flourish in your role.

In addition to receiving a salary and superannuation, you’ll also receive 17.5% leave loading and an ability to increase your take-home pay by accessing up to $15,900 in salary packaging benefits.

There is also the option to increase your annual leave entitlements through our purchased leave program.

About you

  • Experience in people management, supervision, performance management and administration.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with sound ability to write professional work instructions.
  • Strong understanding of OSHC operational requirements, including demonstration of applied knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of child development and quality care practices.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of My Time, Our Place that is reflected and articulated in programming and reflection on outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing quality within a service and shape the overall performance, including high quality learning and leisure experiences for children.
  • Demonstrated experience in shaping a service delivery and practices to promote growth in quality care, safety, wellbeing and support of children and families accessing a service.
  • Experience in facilitating employee learning to develop knowledge and skills.
  • Experience in supervising and managing employees, including rostering.
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Certificates- or willingness to obtain.
  • Diploma of Children’s Services or Equivalent, plus evidence of of additional relevant training and learning is desirable but not essential.
