<p>Carers NSW is the peak body for carers in NSW. We are a not-for-profit organisation connecting and empowering carers across NSW and improving their quality of life through activities, programs, training and policy advice. We advocate for carers of all ages and circumstances.</p>
<p>The Career Guidance Officer will be responsible for providing tailored and strengths-based individual information, advice, referral and support for women who are in a caring role to achieve their career goals. Working in partnership with TAFE NSW, you will support individuals to access new and enhanced career development opportunities, whether it be training or employment. You will also support the development and delivery of interactive resources aimed at building the capacity and awareness of women in caring roles and of the career guidance sector.</p>
<h3>As the successful applicant you will possess the following:</h3>
<ul>
<li>Tertiary qualifications in social science, welfare, or business-related discipline</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to develop, facilitate, promote and evaluate projects</li>
<li>Demonstrated capacity to provide high quality support, information and advocacy</li>
<li>Understanding of and experience supporting disadvantaged groups in the workforce</li>
<li>Strong time management and task prioritising skills</li>
<li>High level written, oral communication and computer skills</li>
<li>Ability to work unsupervised and within a team environment.</li>
</ul>
