<h3><strong>The Role</strong></h3>
<p>Join us to assist in developing innovative solutions and delivering the ADF programs to local communities. This role helps strengthen resilience and build capacity to reduce the impact of alcohol and other drug related harm in the community.</p>
<p>This role will work with community sporting clubs and youth &amp; community service providers in the Toowoomba region and facilitate warm handovers of at-risk young people between referral partners and community sporting clubs.</p>
<p>This role will also promote and support the Alcohol and Drug Foundation's programs such as Local Drug Action Teams and Good Sports, exploring opportunities relating to partnership building, capacity building, and the engagement of sport clubs and communities.<br />Please note: Due to the location and nature of community sporting clubs it is likely that you will have to work outside of normal office hours and frequent travel, driver&rsquo;s licence, and a regular access to a vehicle will be required.</p>

<p>You will possess and be able to demonstrate the following:</p>

<li>Excellent verbal, presentation, and written skills, with exceptional stakeholder management experience.</li>
<li>Self-confidence and the ability to meet KPIs/targets and succeed within a community and sports environment</li>
<li>Experience and the ability to deliver programs using a range of strategies and technologies</li>
<li>The successful candidate for this role must be willing to undergo a Working with Children and Police check.</li>
<li>Previous experience using CRM systems (experience using Salesforce will be highly regarded)</li>
<li>Experience of working with young people and an understanding of community sports and volunteers is desirable</li>

<h3>The Role</h3>
<p>We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to manage the implementation of the Community Safety Project within Tasmania. The role will support building capacity of sporting clubs to support and nurture high-risk youth and develop strong partnerships between community sporting clubs and organisations working with high-risk youth. The role will lead the strategic engagement of stakeholders within the key sectors of state and local government, health and welfare and sport, ensuring stakeholder communications are timely and well-tailored and represent the ADF in a professional manner at external events. The role will also lead the planning and delivering of public forums related to the project.</p>
<p>The role supports the development and delivery of Community Action Plans, liaising with Planet Youth Iceland and country representatives from Planet Youth pilot sites in other countries and developing shared resources and content for pilot site LDATs that promotes the completion of relevant PY activities informed by the data for local communities.</p>

<h3>About the role</h3>
<p>The Senior Information Officer will provide alcohol and other drug (AOD) expertise and support to the Evidence &amp; Innovation Business Unit, the Media &amp; Communication Business Unit as well as the ADF broadly.</p>
<p>This position demands a high degree of understanding of current AOD issues and evidence-based practice, evidence synthesis, research mentoring and project management skills.</p>
<h3>Key tasks and responsibilities included but not limited to:</h3>
<ul>
<li>Synthesise and translate evidence to support evidence-based practice and content development.</li>
<li>Leads and undertakes detailed evidence synthesis informed by the ADF Evidence Framework.</li>
<li>Develop written web-based content using credible evidence-based sources.</li>
<li>Mentor and support staff writers.</li>
<li>Provide ethics reviews on ADF human research projects.</li>
<li>Connect and collaborate with external stakeholders to share information and deliver on specialist projects.</li>
<li>Respond to media enquiries.</li>
<li>Support people through the DrugInfo phoneline and email service, providing information and advice on a range of issues relating to AOD.</li>

<h3>About you</h3>
<p>To make your mark on this key role, you will have:</p>
<ul>
<li>A recognised tertiary qualification, ideally at post-graduate level, in Public Health and/or Health Promotion or similar.</li>
<li>A minimum of five years working in the AOD sector, or similar.</li>
<li>High level of evidence critical appraisal and research skills with experience producing persuasive written material such as policy statements or briefing documents</li>
<li>Strong critical thinking skills, including the ability to understand a problem and determine innovative solutions.</li>
<li>Strong verbal and written communication including ability to conduct presentations and develop effective relationships with a range of audiences.</li>
<li>Demonstrated knowledge and experience in implementing and maintaining quality standards for information services, or similar.</li>
<li>Demonstrated project management skills, with ability to deliver against program and organisational requirements to a high quality.</li>
<li>Advanced organisational and information management skills.</li>
