This position will be based in one of the nine communities in which MacDonnell Regional Council's Youth Services operates.
Our Youth Program delivers a variety of innovative youth programs in Amoonguna, Areyonga (Utju), Haasts Bluff (Ikuntji), Hermannsburg (Ntaria), Kintore (Walungurru), Mount Liebig (Watiyawanu), Papunya (Warumpi), Santa Teresa (Ltyentye Apurte) and Titjikala.
As the Team Leader, you will be responsible for all aspects of the MacYouth program in your community, which includes:
<ul>
<li>Design and deliver age, gender and culturally relevant programming;</li>
<li>Support the Youth Services staff through regular supervision, line management, and mentoring;</li>
<li>Contribute towards building the capacity of local Indigenous staff to create pathways for individual progression;</li>
<li>Building positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders within the region;</li>
<li>Help shape the youth program and provide positive opportunities for young people aged 5-25 years old.</li>

<h3>About the role</h3>
As the Coordinator - Children's Services, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of MacDonnell Regional Councils Children Services programs in allocated remote Aboriginal communities to ensure the provision of high-quality Early Childhood Education and Care programs for children aged from birth to school age.
This position will be based in our Alice Springs Office, which is the regional headquarters to councils' 13 remote communities and outstation locations.
<h3>About you</h3>
Our successful candidate will ideally hold a Bachelor's degree in education - Early Childhood or higher, a current NT Driver's license, ochre card or the ability to obtain one, a current First Aid certificate including CPR, anaphylaxis and asthma components or the ability to obtain and at least 5 years' experience working in Early Childhood including experience supervising and training other staff.
The desired skills for a successful candidate would be a strong commitment to the value of Early Childhood education, a passion to advocate on behalf of children and the ability to lead, motivate and mentor team members to foster independence and increase local ownership of the service.
