The Wurli-Wurlinjang Family Partnership Program (WWFPP) is a collaboration between the Australian Nurse Family Partnership Program (ANFPP) National Program Centre and the Commonwealth Department of Health and us, Wurli (the implementing organisation).
ANFPP is an evidence-based home visiting program with a focus on early intervention and prevention of physical and emotional risk and issues for women pregnant with an Aboriginal and /or Torres Strait Islander baby. The program is voluntary for all eligible women and involves home visits during pregnancy until the child&rsquo;s second birthday.
The WWFPP Program Coordinator is responsible for the planning, implementation, establishment, delivery, monitoring review and reporting of the Australian Nurse-Family Partnership Program for Wurli.
This position will be accountable for ensuring that the essential elements of the ANFPP are followed and the fidelity of the program is maintained.
The position will work with the WWFPP team to provide culturally appropriate services are designed and delivered in accordance with the ANFPP program model and program agreement and will be responsible for management of the WWFPP service team in accordance with policies, procedures, standards, contracts and legislation.

We also deliver Community Service programs which aim to achieve better outcomes in early intervention, treatment, and management through an integrated approach in a primary health care setting like our Alcohol and Other Drugs Program, Social and Emotional Wellbeing program, Katherine Individual Support Program, and our Strong Indigenous Families program.
The Quality &amp; Clinical Care Education Support Manager is responsible for instilling and maintaining high level clinical practice within Wurli.
This position is accountable for designing and implementing the induction to the clinical practices of Wurli employed clinicians and allied health staff.
This position will identify minimum standards, assess competency against agreed standards and provide support and training for any identified deficiencies.
This position works closely with the Primary Health Care Leadership Team in areas such as risk management, accreditation/compliance, and effective client care coordination through ensuring the structures and systems for delivering comprehensive health care are adhered to.

The PHC Practice Manger (also know as the Quality & Clinical Care Education Support Manager) will be responsible for maintaining a high level of clinical practice within Wurli.

The role of a General Practitioner at Wurli is to provide evidence-based and culturally appropriate primary health care services to clients of our service and to contribute to the development and sustained operation of a multidisciplinary primary health care team. General Practitioners are expected to deliver medical services in accordance with Wurli policies and procedures, guided by CARPA standard treatment manual and applicable legislation and regulations and to ensure standards are met in accordance with the Australian General Practice Accreditation Limited (AGPAL).
<h3>Key Requirements of Service Delivery include:</h3>
<ul>
<li>Provide evidence-based clinical care in a cross-cultural setting to clients in collaboration with a team that includes Registered Aboriginal Health Practitioners, Registered Nurses and other allied health professionals.</li>
<li>Provide education and clinical support to other team members.</li>
<li>Deliver services in a manner that respect and honour clients as central decision-makers in their health care.</li>
<li>Complete community, home care, aged care and school educational visits as required.</li>
<li>Maintain professional practice protocols.</li>
<li>Liaise with regional Aboriginal agencies, community health clinics, hospitals, relevant government agencies and other appropriate staff to ensure clients have access to relevant services and programs as required.</li>
<li>Actively encourage client/family/community to engage in practices conducive to optimising health. Participate in committees and working groups to support the integration of acute care.</li>

<h3>Key Features of the Role:</h3>
<ul>
<li>Based in Katherine, Northern Territory.</li>
<li>Works alongside a dedicated primary healthcare and wellbeing teams. In so doing, demonstrates respect for other allied health professional roles.</li>
<li>Supervision of training health professionals including but not limited to GP Registrars and Medical Students.</li>
<li>An ordinary working week of 37.5 hours; Monday to Friday.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Applicants must be able to demonstrate:</h3>

<li>Medical Degree / Vocationally Registered General Practitioner (VRGP).</li>
<li>Current AHPRA Registration.</li>

The Tackling Indigenous Smoking program is a part of Wurli Strategic plan and vision to develop and deliver a holistic approach to health across all areas of the organisation for the Katherine community.
The Tackling Indigenous Smoking Coordinator will be required to work in a collaborative manner across the Primary Health Service and Community Services sector of our business to provide effective harm reduction, cessation and education regarding tobacco use to our people.
This role will be responsible for the fostering of a culture of no smoking across the organisation and the development and implementation of effective interventions and capacity building strategies in accordance with the priority health and wellbeing issues within the Katherine Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities as well as the staff of Wurli.
The role will be pivotal in assisting Wurli address the health inequities related to tobacco use for their people and engaging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people at risk of marginalisation into a welcoming and non-threatening health intervention and wellbeing services.
We are looking for a &ldquo;NON-SMOKER&rdquo; who has a relevant tertiary qualification and preferably previous experience with Smoking Cessation Counselling and previous experience working with Indigenous Communities.
<h3>The successful applicant will need to demonstrate:</h3>

<li>Sound knowledge of Health Promotions and or Public Health</li>

Implementation and improvement to service delivery, business partnering, and all HR generalist areas are an expectation of this position.
