<p>As a Brave Foundation Mentor, you are a central figure within Brave working with young people who voluntarily choose to participate within the SEPT Program.</p>
<p>Under the program, a tailored &lsquo;Pathway Plan&rsquo; is developed to guide participants through an interactive and flexible mentoring program designed to help them identify and pursue their goals &ndash; and connect to opportunities and support services &ndash; in the areas of workforce readiness and training, parenting support, health and wellbeing, financial and other life skills, and educational prospects within their local communities.</p>
<p>Collaboration with existing government and community service providers is central to the SEPT model. SEPT supports expecting and parenting young people to navigate multiple providers across the complex service landscape.</p>
<p>We are seeking applicants who have strong interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for making a difference through holistic mentoring, helping young people to navigate their parenting journey. <h3><strong>About the role</strong>:</h3>
<p>The Carer Coach role reports into the Team Leader and is responsible for engaging with and coaching carers on an individual basis across a defined period of time, to build and develop skills identified during consultation with carers. Engagement may be in-person, via telephone and/or through online channels. The position is distinct from mentoring and counselling. The role holder will ensure that coaching sessions are collaborative, goal and client centred, non-judgemental, flexible and non-therapeutic. The role holder may also be requested to support or facilitate peer support activities with carers.</p>

The primary purpose of the Counsellor position is to provide counselling, education and case management in the MENS program.

Counsellor - MENS Program

<p>St Francis Flexible Learning Centre, Nano Nagle Network&rsquo;s Hobart campus, works with young people who are disengaged from mainstream education with the aim of re-engaging them in creative, meaningful and intentional learning. Our schools work with young people through a trauma informed approach respectful to the educational needs of each learner.</p>
<h3><strong>The Role</strong></h3>
<p>We are looking for a part time Teacher to join our team, working at our Hobart campus.</p>
<p>This role will be employed on an ongoing 0.6 FTE basis, commencing ASAP, and will be employed under the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement 2018.</p>
<h3><strong>About You</strong></h3>
<p>Able to commit to and work within our Operating Principles; <strong>Respect, Participation, Safe and Legal and Honesty</strong>.</p>
<h3>Come complete with:</h3>
<ul>
<li>Registration with the Teachers Registration Board of Tasmania.</li>
<li>Current Working with Vulnerable People certificate or ability to obtain</li>
<li>Ability to plan, prepare and deliver effective learning and teaching programs for young people in both middle and senior phases of secondary education.</li>
<li>The ability to inspire and engage young people</li>
<li>Be willing to support young people and our team members to reach their potential</li>
<li>Expertise in art, music or a creative field will be highly regarded</li>
