About the role:

An excellent opportunity is available for a motivated individual to join a small, close-knit HR team that supports more than 600 staff who are passionately committed to researching the way the brain works.

The role entails performing operational HR activities focussed primarily on the employee life cycle including recruitment, creation of employment contracts, onboarding new employees, compliance, employee record management and reporting.

Our two HR Coordinators work collaboratively to:

  • Support the HR Business Partners in executing HR processes across the employee life cycle 
  • Act as the first point of contact for employees and managers to resolve low-level inquiries and issues
  • Assign and monitor e-learning compliance training as required
  • Prepare and issue employment contracts and new starter documentation, and follow-up with employees and managers

This position is a permanent full-time role (1.0 FTE), with the flexibility to work some days from home. This role attracts an annual salary offer of $79,003 (Higher Education Worker 6-1), plus superannuation.

About you:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Relevant degree in HR or related discipline or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in performing administrative tasks within an HR function
  • Knowledge or experience using learning management systems, e-recruit systems and HRIS 
  • Strong experience working with a high degree of autonomy, without direct supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
