We are looking for an Enterprises Manager to join our team at Atyenhenge-Atherre Aboriginal Corporation (AAAC) based in remote Aboriginal community, Ltyentye Apurte (Santa Teresa), 80kms southeast of Alice Springs. AAAAC works with the Ltyentye Apurte community to alleviate poverty, promote health and wellbeing, and build community sustainability.

The primary role of the Enterprises Manager position is to support our social enterprises, to ensure they fulfil their role of providing employment in the community, and to develop the enterprises that have the possibility of growth beyond their current capacity. If growth is possible the position will ensure that the enterprises remain culturally appropriate, and any expansion is done in a way that best suits the remote community context. Santa Teresa Enterprises (STE) is wholly owned by AAAC and focuses on training, employment, and the development of social enterprises for the benefit of individuals and the community to grow community sustainability. All such support is to be undertaken collaboratively with the staff of each enterprise and with the AAAC/STE management team.

Santa Teresa Enterprises owns the Santa Teresa Store Trust managed by Outback Stores. Store Profits contribute to funding community initiatives and a number of enterprises, providing meaningful employment within the community. Some enterprises have a potential for growth and some will remain social enterprises supported by the store profits. The enterprises are Merne Mwarre (Good Food) Nutrition Program, Ltyentye Apurte Hair Salon, Furniture Store, Coffee Van, Traditional Craft Centre and Spinifex Skateboards.
