Located in Parkville, VIC we are seeking a Junior Graphic Designer to join the Marketing team on a full time, fixed term contract until June 2022 and contribute to the development and production of national promotional and communication materials.

Reporting directly to the Marketing Strategy Manager, Brand you will also be responsible for:

  • Designing marketing communication material for Dementia Australia business units according to client briefs and feedback, creating high quality, accurate work to tight deadlines.
  • Creating engaging visual elements for a range of print and digital platforms that are aligned to brand and accessibility guidelines.
  • Developing and maintaining design assets, including logos, icons, illustrations, infographics, photos and artwork
  • Coordinating the production of collateral from concept to completion including the management of external suppliers

To be successful in the position, you will be a team player, show an absolute commitment to the delivery of high quality results and meet the key selection criteria outlined below.

Key Selection Criteria:

  1. Two or more years’ experience in a similar graphic design role
  2. Proven capability in designing for print and a wide range of digital platforms (using InDesign, illustrator, Acrobat Pro and Photoshop)
  3. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite software (particularly PowerPoint and Word
  4. Superior organisational skills, workflow management and attention to detail
  5. Capacity to work with minimum supervision, ability to prioritise
  6. An empathy and concern for people with dementia and their carers

Qualifications:

  • Graphic design qualification and/or a minimum of two years’ experience in the design and production of graphic resources.
