Located in Milton, QLD we are seeking an experienced People and Culture Coordinator to join the People and Culture team in a newly created role. This role will provide HR support, coordination and administration across a full range of HR services to Dementia Australia staff. As part of the National People and Culture team, this role will work collaboratively to contribute to the development and consistent implementation of national HR procedures and projects. The incumbent will be the first point of HR contact for Dementia Australia staff, resolving queries where possible and escalating as appropriate.

Reporting directly to the General Manager People and Culture Operations you will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating the on-boarding experience of new employees according to national standards and processes.
  • Coordinating the offboarding process for employees, including preparation of acceptance of resignation letters, exit interviews are issued, internal correspondence is provided to relevant departments and that processes are followed to ensure all equipment is returned as necessary.
  • Managing the HR inbox, actioning level 1 matters and escalating all other matters to the respective People and Culture Advisors as appropriate.
  • Administration of People and Culture related checks; compliance checks, probationary reviews, immunisation records etc.
  • Preparation of People and Culture related documentation as required; offers of employment, variations of employment, flexibility agreements

To be successful in the position, you will be a team player, show an absolute commitment to the delivery of high quality services and meet the key selection criteria outlined below.

Key Selection Criteria:

  1. A minimum of 2 years practical experience in HR Administration or Coordinator role
  2. Good understanding and knowledge of the Fair Work Act 2009 and Industrial Relations, including interpreting NES, modern awards and enterprise agreements
  3. Proven experience in working as part of a team and supporting senior managers
  4. Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy, and respecting confidentiality when managing HR data
  5. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan ahead whilst still being able adjust to constantly changing work priorities
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals in a geographically diverse environment

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline
