The State Manager Client Services will be a key leadership role responsible for the ACT state-wide operations of our services delivered to people living with dementia and their carers. This is an integral role that supports a small but passionate team in the ACT to ensure the delivery of high quality safe and effective services ensuring we are meeting our obligations to funders and clients.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, Service Operations you will also be responsible for:

  • Ensuring all services and programs in ACT are delivered accurately and consistently across relevant locations reflect funding and service agreements, with an emphasis on customer service, relevant legislation and service standards
  • Supervising, supporting and developing staff while positively promoting the values and organisation culture in alignment with Dementia Australia
  • Establishing and maintaining industry relationships with relevant stakeholders within the region and actively promote Dementia Australia client services
  • Collaborating closely with inter-departmental stakeholders to develop administrative, financial and communication systems and processes in place

To be successful in this role you will be a team player, show an absolute commitment to the delivery of high quality dementia services and support and meet the key selection criteria outlined below.

Key Selection Criteria:

  1. Demonstrated leadership skills including mentoring and developing staff in a positive inclusive manner
  2. An understanding and experience in relation to contemporary issues, legislation, and standards impacting on community services
  3. Highly developed communication, negotiation and analytical
  4. A sound understanding and experience in service review and development
  5. A proven track record in leading staff to achieve organisational objectives
  6. Demonstrated ability in financial management and budget oversight

Qualifications:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (health/allied health/social services sectors) and experience in a similar position
