The Anglican Board of Mission (ABM), is the national mission agency of the Anglican Church of Australia and works with overseas and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities. We have a holistic view of God’s mission. We work with Anglican Church partners and others to see lives empowered and transformed spiritually, materially and socially. ABM is accredited with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) for its Community Development Program and is a signatory to the Australian Council for International Development’s (ACFID) Code of Conduct.

ABM is seeking a dynamic individual with community engagement and/or fundraising experience who is committed to the vision of ABM. They will be comfortable with ABM’s Anglican ethos and must have experience in working in cross-cultural environments. The Key Relationships Coordinator will report to the Fundraising Manager and will have charge of strengthening ABM’s engagement and fundraising capacity in relation to its broad and diverse support base within the Anglican Church of Australia.

The Key Relationships Coordinator will work closely with ABM’s Fundraising and Marketing teams and will have the following responsibilities:

  • Provide proactive and diligent management of a portfolio of key organisations, parishes and donors;
  • Increase engagement support and advocacy for the work of ABM amongst key contacts;
  • Determine and nurture new contacts and relationships for the benefit of ABM;
  • Contribute to the implementation of ABM’s Fundraising Plan for retention and growth in Individual Giving, Community Fundraising and Supporter Care;
  • Coordinate key events which target mid-level and major donor development.

The successful candidate will also be expected to:

  • Develop and retain relationships with major and mid-level donors, and community/parish donors and fundraisers;
  • Contribute to the enhancement of ABM as a brand;
  • Comply with regulatory requirements – ACFID and DFAT;
  • Contribute to the work of the Fundraising team through the acquisition of new donors, conversion of non-donors to donors, cultivation of current donors and reactivation of lapsed donors.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo relevant criminal record checks. It is the responsibility of the successful applicant to obtain a Police Check and a Working with Children Check prior to commencement of work.

Note to Applicants: This part-time position (20 hours per week) is Melbourne-based, on a 1-year contract.
