Our Client, a leading NFP Community Organisation , is currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Leader - Community Living, to join their team based in the Newcastle /Maitland region

This role will involve;

  • Managing multiple sites across the Newcastle /Maitland region and ensure that staff are supported and mentored to deliver the best service for the customers
  • Liaise regularly with a variety of stakeholders such as CEO, HR, government agencies & health professionals
  • Present ideas and solutions in order to improve services and attract new participants
  • Manage all staffing requirements ensuring best practice at all times
  • Mentor, train and recruit new team members to ensure an above average standard of service delivery
  • Building relationships with families and carers and promoting open lines of communication between all parties .
  • Contribute to the development of the SIL team by being positive , proactive and passionate about your role

The requirements for this role include;

  • A genuine passion when working with clients in order for them to feel empowered to achieve their goals.
  • A qualification related to people services is required however your experience and personality is what will make you successful.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written - you will be joining a vibrant team!
  • Be part of a growing organisation where your voice, ideas and solutions are heard and actioned
  • Previous experience supporting people with complex needs and challenging behaviours including mental health and cognitive disability
  • Demonstrated financial management, planning and budgeting skills
  • An ability to give strategic leadership to a diverse team of experienced and passionate workers .
  • Amazing report writing skills and the ability to produce quality reports and submissions.

Additional Information;

A number of probity checks are required including holding a current working with children and undertaking a National police checks.
