JOB HIGHLIGHT

You’ll develop concepts and copy that will help The Australasian Birth Trauma Association (ABTA) raise community awareness of birth-related trauma.

JOB SUMMARY

This volunteer part-time, flexible role is ideal for a student or flexible worker and someone looking to make an everyday impact on the future of women and families with birth-related trauma.

The Marketing Assistant’s day to day tasks will focus on supporting marketing activities of the organisation including social media, design, marketing, fundraising and event campaigns and publicity across all of our programs, services and support and our major events such as Birth Trauma Awareness Week and our ThinkNatal Educational series.

YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR…

  1. Administration tasks for key campaigns, events and products
  2. Research into leads for media and new ambassadors
  3. Research Fundraising and grant tasks e.g. Walk n Talk and Birth Trauma Awareness Week promotional opportunities
  4. Scheduling and reviewing emails to generate new leads and to key suppliers
  5. Updating presentations and proposal documents
  6. Updating creative assets for the website and key campaigns
  7. Reviewing and contributing to press and media releases
  8. Liaison with Media requests and identifying opportunities for further reach and awareness
  9. Printing key campaign materials such as flyers and posters
  10. Ad hoc tasks as required

ABOUT YOU…

  • Interest in marketing or publicity
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well under limited supervision
  • A proven eye for detail
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Confident telephone manner
  • Ability to follow a clear brief of instruction
  • Ability to work as part of a remote, interstate team
  • Passionate about supporting our community of health professionals and consumers

The ABTA is the only not for profit dedicated solely to:

  • Raising community awareness of birth-related trauma.
  • Enhancing community understanding about birth-related trauma and health care, for the benefit of individuals, families and health care professionals.
  • Providing trusted peer-led support services for people affected by birth-related trauma.

At ABTA we have around 30 committed volunteers to help deliver our strategy. We are dedicated to ‘Safer Births, Better Healing’.
