Acacia Environmental Management employs individuals who have a strong passion and respect for the natural environment and its conservation. We provide sensitive weed control and revegetation services that aim to enhance indigenous vegetation in the Greater Melbourne region.

The Opportunity

As a Project Manager you will be considered a key part of our wider leadership group. You will provide broad and direct leadership on projects, and bring your strong organisation and communication skills to deliver work across multiple environmental management projects in Regional Melbourne. The work is to be completed in a safe, effective and efficient manner consistent with our business objectives. You will be also responsible for:

  • Overseeing revegetation projects on site ensure that all deadlines and targets are being met
  • Providing leadership, coaching and mentorship to leading hands and bush crew members ensuring their work is carried out in line with Company policies
  • Taking responsibility for safety requirements on-site and making sure that crews are adhering to safe work practices. This includes reporting on outcomes and risk areas.
  • Communicating with clients and consultants and providing updates and advice on projects, writing reports, and variations.
  • Contributing technical knowledge and ideas to continuously improve business operations and the delivery of projects.

About You:

We are looking for a natural leader with significant and diverse industry experience who has excellent plant id skills, communication skills and the ability to utilise their strong academic qualifications.

Necessary Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor of Science (Ecology) or equivalent
  • 5+ years of industry experience
  • Extensive consulting and project management experience in the area of biodiversity and protected areas
  • Construction OHS Induction card (White/Red Card)
