Access Community Services Limited (ACSL) is Australia's leader and specialist in settlement, employment, training and youth and social enterprises for migrants, refugees and mainstream clients, in Queensland, particularly in the South East. As a community based, not for profit organisation limited by guarantee, we boast over a 30 year history of serving our local community which was originally established in Logan in 1984. We are committed to fostering community development, youth, settlement and employment initiatives and to providing personal support programs to address the needs of disadvantaged youth and community groups including migrants, refugees, humanitarian entrants and visa holders.

ABOUT PEOPLE AND CULTURE Team

The People & Culture Team (PaC) partner with the business through a number of functions, including Work Health & Safety, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Organisational Development, Employee Services and Business Partnering. You will be joining a diverse team of highly engaged and driven individuals who strive to make a difference and work together collaboratively to deliver outcomes for our people, clients and stakeholders.

ABOUT THE ROLE

A great opportunity for a Health Safety and Wellbeing Advisor to be part of a national Health & Safety team. As part of a dynamic and results driven team, you will be responsible for Queensland, Northern NSW and Victoria sites.
As our Health Safety and Wellbeing Advisor you will:

  • Develop, promote and raise awareness to build a positive health, safety and wellbeing culture.
  • Implement and maintain health, safety and wellbeing initiatives and programs
  • Assist with the design and development of a range of policies, procedures, and risk management tools
  • Build strong relationships and confidently communicate with key stake holders

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Qualifications Allied Health, Work Health & Safety, Human Resources or relevant field.
  • 3-5 years of safety experience
  • Strong presentation and communications skills, with the ability to communicate and influence a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative and be an effective team member.
  • Ability to work within a fast paced, progressive environment and to manage change.
  • Current Qld driver's license
