The Position

Due to an internal promotion, we are recruiting a Research and Evaluation Officer to join the Policy, Research and Partnerships Department. Working within a team of 3, this role is responsible for undertaking a range of research and evaluation activities that will inform the College’s work in advocacy and policy development so that we can make a real difference to health system reform, address systematic challenges within Emergency Medicine, and influence healthcare outcomes for vulnerable and diverse populations within Australia and New Zealand. Please note that this is a permanent full-time position based in Melbourne, Australia.

An average day for the Research and Evaluation Officer will involve coordinating evaluation projects, including detailed planning, data collection, implementation, analysis and reporting, as well as supporting the other research activities of Unit as they relate to Emergency Medicine.

Paired with a relevant tertiary qualification, our ideal candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated capabilities in conducting evaluation projects, including project design, data collection, analysis and the interpretation of data.
  • Strong research, qualitative and quantitative analytical skills and proficiency in statistical and database programs (e.g., SPSS, STATA, NVIVO, MS SQL Server).
  • A proven ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
