Working on making Australia’s economy work better for people and planet by shifting Australia’s banks and super funds away from investing in coal and gas to increasing their investments in renewable energy, biodiversity protection and industries with a long term clean future.
This role sits within our Economy and Democracy team – a team charged with addressing systemic challenges to help accelerate the achievement of ACF’s climate and nature goals. You will work across the organisation with others members of the Campaigns directorate and with colleagues across other parts of the organisation including the CEO.
You are excited by and have some experience in the design, development and implementation of campaigns that have changed government or business policy. You know that big changes can only be won and held by building power in the community.
You make good decisions and commit to action even with incomplete information, you use your creativity to overcome problems and come up with innovative solutions that you champion across the organisation.
You are equally comfortable talking to our supporters about they can get involved in our campaign, addressing a rally, doing a radio interview and discussing climate and biodiversity issues with representative from business.
You understand the importance of building relationships and partnerships with likely and unlikely allies and fostering those relationships to help achieve campaign outcomes.
You enjoy working in a team on a common goal, like learning new skills and enjoy celebrating shared success. You love bringing people together behind an idea and using your expertise and theirs to make it work.
You know that the voices of all types of people are required to win our campaigns and you’re committed to building an inclusive and equitable movement where everyone is treated with dignity and respect
