When it comes to our environment, the Australian Conservation Foundation has been leading the way in protecting our living world for over half a century.
We are the national environment organisation committed to caring for Australia’s unique and beautiful wildlife and natural world. We’re inclusive, non-partisan and funded by donations from our supporters.
Whether it’s advocating for a clean energy future, the Great Barrier Reef, or the habitat of our beautiful koalas, our dedicated community of over 700,000 supporters are constantly working to create a world where forests, rivers, people, and wildlife thrive.
ACF is fortunate to be in a secure financial position due to the ongoing, incredible generosity of our donors. We also have strong operational processes and systems that have seen us take the challenges of COVID in our stride. Our head office is in the Green Building on Melbourne’s CBD fringe and we have three satellite offices around Australia.
Reporting to the Campaign and Engagement Project Manager, your role will be to provide administration support to the Director of Campaigns and Director of Engagement over our busiest campaign delivery period. We’re a high impact organisation working on a wide range of projects so you can expect variety in your work. You’ll be based at head office but you can expect to be working with teams throughout the organisation. It’s a high visibility role!
You’ll provide support to the Director of Campaigns and Director of Engagement by managing their calendars, supporting them with meeting preparation, supporting them to prioritise and ensure they’re supporting their teams. You will work closely with ACF’s Project Manager to ensure actions are captured in important meetings, and lead on following up to make sure our teams are on track.
If you like variety in your work, are passionate about the environment and keen to learn about how campaigns are delivered, this is the role for you!
You’re full of energy and get a buzz from dealing with people all day. You're always on the lookout for new ways to help your teammates be successful. You’re often heard saying, “Can I help you with that?”
You’re looking to get exposure to how effective campaigns and engagement happen, and you have a great eye for detail and keeping systems running effectively. You’re a problem-solver and you don’t mind getting your hands dirty if you need to fix things yourself. You’re calm in a crisis and known as the type of person who gets things done.
You have had experience (in a volunteer or paid capacity) working in campaigns, engagement or communications, and have demonstrable administration and organisation experience. You have a love for nature and want to work for an organisation that’s making a difference.
If this sounds like the step up you have been looking for, we want to hear from you!
Applicants may be contacted to progress to the next stage of recruitment prior to the close date, so get in early! We want to hear from you!
ACF is an equal opportunity employer. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, women, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, LGBTQI people and people with a disability are encouraged to apply.
Applicants must have the right to live and work in Australia to be considered for this job.
As part of ACF’s recruitment process, a criminal background check will be conducted.
We request no agency contact please.
