The Development Practice Advisor is responsible for leading or supporting a range of initiatives across different modalities and content areas that:
The position reports to the Learning and Innovation Lead and is part of the Effectiveness and Engagement Team (EET) and works closely within this team, with the Standards and Code team, and the Membership and Stakeholder Engagement Lead and development practice leaders.
The Australian Council for International Development (ACFID) is the peak body for Australian non-government organisations (NGOs) involved in international development and humanitarian action. Our purpose is to lead and unite our members in action for a just, equitable and sustainable world. ACFID members must comply with the ACFID Code of Conduct, a voluntary, self-regulatory sector code of good practice. Further information about ACFID is available via the ACFID website.

The covering letter should take into account ACFID’s Core Competencies (referenced in the position description which can be downloaded here), and discuss (1) why you are applying for the role and (2) how you would use your competencies and experience to deliver on the key areas of responsibility.
