We are seeking a highly organised, motivated team player who has a high level of cultural competency and experience in communicating and engaging sensitively with First Nations peoples.

Our ideal candidate will have experience developing and delivering social programs, including effective planning and project management, building partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, leading the development of evidence-based content for diverse audiences, and program evaluation. 

You will have an understanding of how technology can be misused to cause harm and an interest in online safety issues facing Australians.

You will also have a high level of personal drive and ability to work collaboratively and lead others to achieve shared goals. You will have a flexible mindset and be adept at identifying and weighing potential solutions to problems as they arise.

The key duties of the position include:

This position will play a critical role in the identification, ongoing development, implementation and evaluation of targeted programs to at risk communities. In particular, initiatives to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.

You will have a strong understanding of, and experience in, stakeholder engagement, project management and a keen understanding of challenges and issues facing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities who are more at risk of online harms.  

Under the program, eSafety works in partnership to codesign, develop and roll out culturally appropriate resources that meet the specific needs of identified communities.

This role will work across the Education, Prevention and Inclusion Branch to ensure eSafety content and messaging for is consistent and draws on related initiatives where appropriate.

Eligibility

To be eligible for employment with eSafety, applicants must be an Australian citizen.

Successful candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance or hold a current security clearance of an appropriate level. More information on the security clearance vetting process is available on the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) website .

You must also have a current Working with Children check (or equivalent) or be willing to obtain one.
