About the Role

The General Manager Operations is a proactive senior role that reports to the CEO. It is responsible for ensuring all operational systems, business development programs, and quality and compliance systems are maintained to meet the ActsCare's obligation to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission Framework and to support the Strategic Development Mission. It is also a requirement of the role that compliance statutes in the State of Queensland are maintained to align with the organisation's Policies and Procedures.

You would be asked to champion continuous improvement programs with staff, provide guidelines, and set benchmarks to maintain exceptional service standards for participants and the broader stakeholder groups.

The Head Office is in Toowoomba, Queensland.

The board sees this position taking more responsibility over time and there are further opportunities for the right person as growth strategies are realised and operations continue to expand.

Some of the Day to Day requirements include:

  1. Ensuring all Operational Systems are maintained to align with and support the Strategic Plan
  2. Overseeing SIL, SDA, and Respite development programs
  3. Ensuring regulatory compliance and associated systems are maintained
  4. Overseeing the development of Policies and Procedures
  5. Driving Continuous Improvement
  6. Maintaining an Audit-Ready Organisation Status
  7. Mentoring and developing staff

Is this the Role for You?

You will need to have a thorough understanding of Operational requirements working within the NDIS framework and have had previous experience in a senior management role with a strong focus on developing business and operating with demanding quality and compliance obligations.

Tertiary qualifications are highly desirable, and you must be well-versed with all divisions of the mental health and disability sector. Practical experience in this sector is essential. Coming from an ADE background or having expertise in an area of disability support would benefit your application.

You will require a professional attitude that can function within the challenges of a growing business, be articulate in your presentations, and have the ability to work autonomously whilst being an active contributor at the senior management level.

This is an opportunity to be part of an organisation where you can make a difference. Your resilience in pushing for results and your passion for supporting people with a disability will add to furthering the organisation's culture of “participants first".

If this is you, ActsCare would welcome your application.
