The Marketing Officer is an exciting position and will work across the ACT NoWaste Waste Education and Partnerships team to deliver a range of marketing, communications and education activities that support waste avoidance, improved resource recovery and better recycling outcomes in the ACT. This includes managing how the community engages with our content through digital, traditional and face to face channels including education programs at the Recycling Discovery Hub.
We are looking for someone who wants to contribute to our efforts to help the Canberra community avoid waste, reduce singe use plastics and recycle well. It is also an opportunity to develop your experience in education, social marketing and behaviour change programs.

Working under limited supervision, the marketing officer will play a key role in the WEP team, including:
The successful person will be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, have strong writing skills, digital literacy and familiarity with media and social media engagement. Experience using design software is highly regarded.

Note: An order of merit will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months. This position will be moving to a new workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk. Selection will be based on application, interview and referee reports.
