Advance Care Planning Australia (ACPA) is looking for an experienced, innovative, and passionate Communications Coordinator to join our dedicate team. We are a national program funded by the Australian Government to increase the community’s understanding and uptake of advance care planning. We are passionate about creating a health system where person rights and self-determination inform all aspects of quality care, particularly end-of-life care.

ACPA is a not-for-profit organisation that delivers national advance care planning policy advocacy, advice to governments, communications including an annual National ACP Week campaign, a national phone support service, ACPA Learning hub, and quality improvement resources. Our audiences include consumers, the health and aged care workforce, service providers, peak bodies, and governments. This rewarding position was last available in 2018.

about the role

Working is collaboration with the ACPA National Manager, Communications to coordinate and deliver the ACPA national communications, marketing, and media activities.

Key functions of the role include:

  • Work in collaboration with the ACPA Program Director, ACPA Communications Manager and the broader ACPA team to deliver and report on activities within the ACPA work plan
  • To deliver communications, social media, digital, brand, event and marketing expertise to continue engagement of national audiences and raise the profile of ACPA
  • To coordinate and support the www.advancecareplanning.org.au website, social media, electronic direct mail, CRM software, brand coordination, event management and advertising
  • To work collaboratively with the ACPA team, contractors, and external national stakeholders
