About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader – Client Service to join our South Australia team. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Morphett Vale and Holden Hill Community Service Centres to ensure that a safe, comfortable, personalised environment is offered in which Clients maximise their independence, are able to develop their skills, abilities & aspirations using a Person-Centred approach. To provide quality services to people with disabilities, their families and carers.

This is an administration focused role where you will be responsible for the effective and safe running of our site, where you will undertake the following responsibilities;

  • Invoicing and administration for NDIS clients
  • Manage the day to day operations of sites and drop in services.
  • Budget management
  • Building of robust 24/7 rosters across the multiple locations/services
  • NDIS meetings with families, carers and potential clients to discuss needs and packages
  • Manage and support your direct reports
  • Ensure all compliance measures are being met
  • Oversee the Individual Lifestyle Planning process and client support.
  • Co-ordinate case management for clients as required.
  • Manage and co-ordinate all site administrative processes and assets.
  • Provide support to the District Manager for your region.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Qualifications in Disability / Behavioural / Social Sciences or related field, minimum of Certificate IV Community Services (Services Coordination) or relevant experience
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence (relevant state or territory)
  • Ability to multi task, meet deadlines and to work effectively under pressure
  • Ability and experience in supervision of staff
  • Proven ability to lead a team
  • Genuine interest in working with people with disabilities
  • Ability to develop, plan and implement Individual Lifestyle Plans
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Strong administrative and communication skills
  •  Experience in working with clients with complex and challenging needs
  • Experience in planning and implementing programs and activities for people with disability
  • It is also a condition of employment that employees who are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccination must be fully vaccinated and comply with current COVID-19 booster vaccinations in order to perform duties at any of our workplaces. If you are not medically eligible to be vaccinated against COVID-19, you must provide Afford with acceptable evidence of having a health condition for which obtaining a COVID-19 vaccination is contraindicated.
