We are seeking 2 x full-time HR Officers to work at our office in East Victoria Park.

To be considered for this position you will possess the necessary skills and experience to do the following:

  • Providing administrative assistance to support AFLS HR function including onboarding new employees and annual appraisal process.
  • Administrative assistance for the recruitment process, including managing incoming applications, scheduling interviews, managing the screening process and documentation for new starters
  • Maintaining employee HR files
  • Administrative support for Administrative Services Manager as required.

SELECTION CRITERIA

Essential

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in previous similar role
  • Commitment to the provision of outstanding service, including a high level of attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Well-developed communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Highly developed time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as being able to contribute positively to a collaborative team.
  • Sound analytical skills and the ability to interpret and produce statistical information as well as the capacity to identify and resolve problems.

Desirable

  • Possession of (or progressing towards) qualifications in Human Resources Management or related discipline, or relevant experience in a Human Resources
  • A proven capacity to creatively deal with challenging issues
  • Experience working in Community Legal organisation
  • Experience working with Aboriginal people
  • Experience using Subscribe HR

Essential Eligibility Requirements

  • Current ‘C’ class WA Driver’s License
  • Current Federal Police Clearance
  • Working with Children Check

The successful applicant will need to gain and demonstrate a broad general knowledge of AFLS and the suite of services that it delivers and the sites that it delivers from, as well as the ability to identify key personnel and have contact details available for all other AFLS sites.
