AFL SportsReady is a national not for profit company that has facilitated employment and education for thousands of young Australians since 1994. While having a history of excellence in the football industry, we now work across sectors including the arts and creative industries, education, business and the broader sports and recreation to create education and employment opportunities for young people across Australia.
SportsReady Education is the education arm of AFL SportsReady and a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), specialising in traineeship education delivery. Each year, we deliver training to over 450 trainees across the country encompassing Business, Sport & Recreation, Elite Athletes, and Finance.
Our Queensland office is located in Brisbane, and supported by AFL SR’s head office which is located in Melbourne.
The purpose of this role is to deliver accredited education and to support the safe and successful completion of trainees (predominantly school based trainees). This role also involves managing program and student administration.
A week in the life of this role could involve delivering workshops either online or in person (COVID-19 safety protocols permitting), making visits to trainees at their workplaces to deliver one on one education, and organising trainee administration such as marking, assessment, as well as updating trainee records on our student management system. It is a diverse, varied and hands-on role which provides an opportunity to make a positive difference to the lives of young people through Education and Employment.
We are seeking an experienced, motivated and appropriately qualified educator to deliver CII to CIV Sport and Recreation. An ability to deliver Business qualifications is also desirable but not mandatory.
This position also involves providing support to our NSW/ACT State Office, and will involve infrequent travel to Sydney (approx 4 times per year) for the purposes of hosting workshops.
