Allevia is a registered NDIS Provider. We support people who have a disability who live in Sydney, NSW.

We bring person-centredness to a range of services designed to contribute to a sustainable community.

We strive to assist people to be in control of their lives and to have access to the things they want and need in their community.

It is all about what people want. People with a disability, who want support to live and participate in the community, get that support from Allevia staff. We make our aim to be that the support provided is what people want and need. This is delivered in groups or individually.

As a disability support worker you will:

  • Support people to explore their interests and try new things.
  • Support people to develop the skills they need to live as independently as possible.
  • Support some people to attend to their daily personal care needs.
  • Support people to be in their community and participate in community activities and events.

THE RIGHT PEOPLE FOR THE JOB

We are currently looking for creative, open minded, compassionate, and motivated people to join our support team.
Previous experience supporting people with a disability is an advantage but not a deal breaker.

  • You will need to have good communication skills (written and verbal) as you will be supporting people with varying communication support needs.
  • You will need to hold a current Australian driver’s license.
  • Formal qualifications in Disability, Community Services or Welfare are not necessary but are an advantage, We provide some training but you will need to be willing to undertake some studies in your own time to build your knowledge and skills.

As a support worker at Allevia you will:

  • Work with the client record management system and use Microsoft Office 365 applications;
  • Have the opportunity to be creative;
  • Be able to manage stressful situations;
  • Be a member of a multidisciplinary team;
  • Learn and develop your knowledge and skills as you work;
  • Contribute to the lives of people who cannot live without support from others.
