  • Liaise, communicate and consult with supervises regarding WHS matters
  • The physical capability to carry out a range of manual handling tasks.

About the Role

This role of the support worker is to provide exceptional service whilst supporting clients to meet their goals as set out in their NDIS plan. This includes.

  • Provide positive outreach support to NDIS Participants with a range of disabilities.
  • This includes intensive, flexible, responsive, client focussed support with the aim of assisting clients to successfully improve physical and mental health and develop connections with the community and achieve their goals.
  • A working knowledge of the NDIS
  • High levels of enthusiasm, initiative, and a positive attitude
  • Support Workers be prepared to work shift work, willing to participate in a 24/7 roster.
  • Will assist participants in their needs of daily living including personal care, domestic assistance, social support, transport, etc.
  • Use your administration skills to document client records daily.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience supporting people with a disability.
  • Flexibility to work on a 24/7 rotating roster which includes days, evenings, awake shifts, sleepovers and weekend shifts
  • COVID-19 vaccination Certificate (doses 1, 2 and booster)
  • Completed the NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • Be willing to provide an NDIS Worker Check (NDISWC) Clearance
  • Completed COVID 19 Infection Control Module
  • A Formal qualification in Disability, Community Services or Welfare are not necessary but are an advantage,
  • A current NSW driver's licence (CP2 minimum)
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (HLTAID0011) or willingness to obtain prior to commencing
  • A Working with Children Clearance (essential)
