We aim to increase the autonomy, independence and community engagement and social inclusion of people with a disability and relieve suffering and the financial stress of people with a disability and disadvantaged youth. AmAble support participants with autism, cognitive and other disabilities with a range of supports, social and creative programs and activities for all age groups.

Due to increasing demand and expansion into regional areas, we are looking for an experienced Support Coordinator to come onto our team.

Based in Geelong, however there are options to work from other regional areas.

The successful candidate will utilise their understanding of the NDIS to deliver superior support services and ensure our participants are getting everything that they need.

NDIS funded Coordination of Support builds capacity for people with a disability to achieve their personal goals.

Key functions being:

  • Taking a holistic view by working effectively with the participant to coordinate, implement and maximise on identified NDIS plan goals.
  • Build and maintain pro-active relationships with NDIS registered non-registered providers and mainstream community-based resources.
  • Ensure participants are receiving qualitative value for money and encourage self-direction.
  • Ensure mainstream services such as housing, health, justice and education meet their obligations.
  • Monitoring plan outcomes and expenditure.
  • Creating new leads and collaborating with other service providers.
  • Undertaking regular training, continuous improvement, and staying abreast of key industry changes.
  • Deliver clear accurate and timely record keeping.

Essential criteria

  • Minimum Diploma in Community Services, Mental Health, Counselling or other relevant qualification
  • Able to meet KPI targets relating to the billing of service delivery
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Valid NDIS Worker Screening

Desirable criteria

  • Comprehensive understanding of NDIS framework and policies
  • Previous experience as a Coordinator of Support is highly regarded.

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
