Due to our organisational growth and increase in our client numbers serviced through our Home Care Package (HCP) Program, we are seeking to appoint Home Care Workers.

Whilst our head office is located in the Inner West (Maidstone); our wrap-around services cover all of the Melbourne Metro region. We offer the opportunity for our Home Care Workers to work close to home, within your local community.

We are currently particularly seeking candidates to work in the following areas however applicants from all Melbourne Metro areas are welcome to apply:

  • North East: Banyule City Council, Darebin City Council and Moreland City Council incl. Greensborough, Watsonia, Bundoora, Coburg, Preston, Heidelberg Heights and Thornbury.
  • North: Hume City Council incl. Roxburgh Park, Dallas
  • South East: City of Greater Dandenong incl. Dandenong
  • West: Brimbank City Council, St Albans, and Taylors Lake.
  • Geelong area

In this role, you would undertake the following tasks:

  • Assist clients with domestic tasks such as laundry, ironing, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, dusting, bed linen changes, bath, toilet and shower cleaning
  • Assist clients with shopping, transport to medical appointments, monitoring consumers safety, medication prompt and assisting with transfers
  • Assist with personal care, showering, dressing and using the toilet
  • Assist with meal preparation and cooking
  • Act as a support companion

For this role, no formal academic qualifications are required. We will support you to progress in your career by providing professional training and development opportunities and support your introduction to your new career with buddy shifts, training and induction.

To meet the needs of the role we require that you:

  • Enjoy providing quality care, support and companionship for seniors
  • Have a valid driver's licence with access to a reliable registered vehicle with a minimum of third party insurance
  • Consent to a standard police check (paid for & organised by AMCS)
  • Have current COVID-19 vaccinations unless a medical exemption applies
