About the opportunity

As our Manager Home Care Packages Program you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the AMCS' HCP program including staff management and development, program intake, program budget, service quality, compliance, improvement and innovation. The position is responsible for driving the growth and retention of clients. You will play a critical role in managing the staff members through a high-quality level of care and service.

This is a full-time ongoing role.

About you

Ideally, you will have demonstrated cultural competency having previously worked with CALD Communities. You will have a strong clinical background and may be an experienced manager, or you may be ready to take the next step in your career.

In this role, you'll be working across a range of tasks including:

  • Overseeing the process of responses to enquiries regarding Home Care Packages and Brokerage agreements
  • Manage regulatory and accreditation compliance across the HCPP
  • Assist the HCPP Team with complex client care management, utilising your clinical background towards case management
  • Strategically manage and monitor the HCPP program including the budget and expenses, ensuring that client funds and outcomes are maximised
  • Oversee all program-related documentation and record management across the HCPP, ensuring consistency and efficiency across the HCPP team
  • Ensure adequate and appropriate HCPP staff recruitment (in collaboration with HR) management of the team and their development in line with AMCS quality, leadership and performance frameworks
  • Monitor and undertake corrective actions with regards to quality, processes, and standards across the HCPP program
  • Review and develop robust policies and procedures for our programs
  • Provide monthly supervisions and annual appraisals
  • Provide leadership, team management, mentoring and ongoing development to the HCPP team

Our ideal applicant will have:

  • Prior experience with HCPP, including comprehensive knowledge of funding arrangements, regulations and service provision for the HCPP - alternatively you may have a strong clinical background with prior experience in case or facilities management in the health sector
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards, best practice and experience in assessment, care planning and service delivery to older persons living in the community
  • Demonstrated high levels of computer competence and comprehensive report writing capability
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and work cooperatively to foster positive change, providing support and leadership
  • Degree in management, business, case management or equivalent is essential
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise, plan and organise a busy workload
  • Demonstrated experience in budget monitoring
  • High capability to plan, lead, initiate, motivate and innovate
  • High level of communication and negotiation skills Demonstrated decision making and analytical skills
