We are looking to expand our organisation to include Allied Health!

We are currently searching for a professional, qualified and passionate Occupational Therapist with a focus on mental health and dual-disability to join our multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate will be providing assessments, therapy and capacity building services. The role requires someone that is passionate about working with adults and young people with disabilities and mental health; and will work closely to help our clients and their families establish and reach achievable goals. In addition, you will be required to develop individualised and comprehensive accommodation and housing reports to fill the much-needed gap in disability and mental health.

You will:

Our head office is based in Bundoora however our service expands all over Melbourne.

About You

  • 1-2 years’ experience as an OT preferable (graduates encouraged to apply)
  • NDIS experience preferable
  • Willing to help develop our allied health service
  • Current driver's license and vehicle
  • A great attitude and ability to work in a team environment
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills

To be eligible for the position:

  • Currently hold a valid AHPRA registration
  • A tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
  • A criminal record check completed within the last 3 months must be supplied. When an employee has lived outside of Australia for 12 months or more within the last 10-year period, an international check must also be supplied on request.
  • Hold a current Working with Children’s Check
  • Applicants with previous experience in a similar role will be preferred
  • Confident supporting people with complex needs, with good knowledge and understanding of disability, mental health, and/or community care sectors
  • MUST have excellent computer skills (including email etiquette and resource development)
  • Have sound written skills
  • Be willing to travel all over Melbourne

This role will be offered on a causal/part-time basis, with the view of loyal and dedicated employees progressing through the organisation to a full-time role as the business expands.
