Through Care, Prevention and Advocacy programs, we fight for their right to be safe, so their future is strong.

We also support Dolly’s Dream to help change the culture of bullying by addressing the impact of bullying, anxiety, depression and youth suicide, through education and direct support to young people and families.

About eSmart:

eSmart is underpinned by the eSafety Commissioner’s Best Practice Framework for Online Safety Education, an evidence-based best practice framework for a nationally consistent approach to online safety education in schools.

eSmart has a whole school approach, ensuring that online safety is embedded in school leadership, governance, and culture. Schools self-select and/or work with an eSmart Advisor to plan their eSmart journey based on the specific needs of their students, school community and curriculum plans.

About the role:

Reporting into eSmart Schools Team Leader, the eSmart Advisor - Specialist Schools provides tailored support to specialist schools, working with them to set, achieve and maintain their commitment to online safety, and create a culture that promotes the positive use of digital technology.

Formally based in South Melbourne the eSmart Advisor – Specialist Schools will predominately work with specialist schools in Victoria.

You would be responsible for:

  • Work with specialist schools to set, achieve and maintain their commitment to online safety through the implementation of eSmart, including eSmart digital learning products.
  • Working with specialist schools to set, achieve, and maintain their commitment to online safety through the implementation of eSmart, including eSmart digital learning products.
  • Communicating with schools to promote eSmart programs.
  • Delivering virtual and face-to-face workshops and training sessions to school staff, students and families.
  • Developing effective stakeholder relationships through collaboration, including but not limited to stakeholders within the education sector.
  • Contributing to the implementation of, and identifying improvements for, the eSmart program.

Experience required:

  • Experience working directly with children and young people in specialist school settings
  • Experience delivering social change projects, frameworks or initiatives in the education sector.
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, and training skills.
  • Willingness to travel intrastate, as well as occasional interstate trips (maximum 3 per calendar year)
  • Knowledge of online safety and digital inclusion issues, and the impact to children & young people with diverse learning needs.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to analyse data and build reports.
