Amicus Community Services is a renowned Disability Support Provider, based in Bendigo and the Central Victorian region and has been in operation for the past 33 years.   If you are driven by working one person at a time to support participants, and  if you want to help them develop valued roles and be included in their local communities, then working with Amicus will meet your desires!   

You will join our team, a team that plays an important role ensuring participants, their families, volunteers and the community have the skills and understanding to help all our participants to live their best life.

We actively seek people from differing business backgrounds, study and age groups, to fill the vast needs of our participants at differing times of the day, week and locations.  There are a number of positions that may suit, as we provide services during mornings, evenings, sleepover supports and weekends. 

We are looking for Community Support Workers to support participants in Bendigo, Echuca, Maryborough, Castlemaine and surrounding areas.

Our ideal Amicus team member has:

  • An understanding of the disability/community services sector and person-centred support
  • Transferable life/work skills along with a caring and compassionate approach
  • COVID -19 vaccination
  • Valid driver's licence
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check.
  • A level of technical skill to use electronic devices for information & reporting
  • The legal right to work in Australia
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A genuine interest in well-being & inclusion of people with disabilities
  • Certificate III or IV or higher in disability or a related field, or currently studying a relevant qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificate or willingness to obtain
