If you’re passionate about human rights and looking for a role where you can make real social change, this is an exciting opportunity to join Amnesty International Australia’s Movement team to drive human right education opportunities. Reporting to the Movement manager, this role will coordinate Amnesty International Australia’s (AIA) human rights education work.

The successful applicant will work to implement, review and improve approaches to human rights education to make sure that AIA is reaching and educating a growing audience about human rights. This role will work to broaden and deepen our supporter’s human rights understanding by integrating human rights education into supporter journeys.

In partnership with key staff from the movement team and staff from across the organisation this role will work to support the opportunity for both offline and online programs including working with our activist leaders to design programs that enable and empower communities to facilitate human rights education in their own community.

This role is responsible for:

  • Coordinate and implement AIA’s human rights education work
  • Make continuous improvements to AIA’s HRE approaches
  • In collaboration with key staff teams look for campaigning opportunities that provide opportunity for human rights education and attract new audiences to our movement
  • Work in partnership with key staff to make sure human rights education is part of our supporter journeys
  • Work with the organising team to make sure that we are developing offline human rights education programs
  • Produce and deliver communications as relevant to the role, using a range of channels and technologies
  • Performing role to a high standard within agreed timelines, and in line with AIA’s vision and values

  2. Please outline your experience delivering an education program to enhance learner outcomes
  3. Please provide an example of your experience of developing strategies to drive growth outcomes
  4. Describe your experience of managing projects towards achievement of agreed outcomes
