POSITION SUMMARY

The Settlement Caseworker works within a dynamic client services team focused on offering advocacy and support to Muslim women facing diverse and systemic challenges.

The successful applicant will confidently provide intake, assessment, case planning and case review to clients along with the provision of information, advice and referral pathways best suited to Muslim women.

Priority areas in settlement support are employment, education and training, language acquisition, housing, health, family services, justice and social participation but often you are working with clients facing complex and systemic barriers to opportunities and resources.

The Settlement Caseworker role undertakes both short-term clients (low intensity) and in-depth casework (medium intensity) and assists in identifying emerging needs and issues for newly arrived migrants and refugee communities. This information shapes the services and advocacy agendas for AMWCHR.
