About the Role

As the Coordinator FDV Coordinated Response Service you will join a passionate, multidisciplinary team of like-minded professionals that provide a comprehensive and coordinated response to families and individuals impacted by family and domestic violence through a collocated approach with WA Police and the Department for Child Protection. You will ensure a quality service delivery and outcomes by achieving improved victim safety and perpetrator accountability. Some of the duties will include: developing relationships with regional service providers and departments who have a role to play in addressing family and domestic violence, organise interagency joint triage meetings, ensure appropriate tools and forms are available to support referral, risk assessment and case planning, facilitate multi-agency case management and provide training for service providers about the regional coordination response model.

This is a part time (15 hours per week) opportunity until 30 June 2022 and is based in Katanning.

About You

You are passionate about your professional practice and specifically about providing person-centred, trauma informed and culturally appropriate services.

To be successful you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Services and/or Diploma of Community Services with significant industry experience
  • Experience in assessing, managing risk and counselling clients affected by FDV, including individuals, families and families in indigenous communities
  • Ability to engage and build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders and clients who have been impacted by family and domestic violence
  • Experience providing services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) clients
  • Knowledge of Aboriginal culture and communities, history and context, including knowledge of local community infrastructure and networks
  • Knowledge of current theories, practice and literature in the area of FDV, including an understanding of the impact of inter-generational trauma and best practice models of intervention for FDV
  • Have well developed computer skills, including use of MS Worker, Outlook, Excel and Client Management Systems
  • Excellent skills in written, oral and interpersonal communication
  • Ability to articulate and reflect upon personal and professional values
  • Ability to be proactive and work independently as required
  • Eligible for professional association membership (e.g., AASW, Psychologists Registration Board of Western Australia) is desirable

The successful candidate must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year, a WA Working with Children Check and a WA Driver's Licence.

Benefits

  • $83,728 – $87,525 (Full time salary) per annum plus 10% superannuation
  • In addition to your remuneration, you will enjoy generous tax-free salary packaging benefits where you can package up to $15,900 per annum and not pay tax on that amount
